Superhero

Last week more than 300 Bonner Lumberjacks gathered in the gymnasium for an exciting event. Our friends from Daily’s Premium Meats had come to announce the presence of a Superhero in our midst:  As kids scanned the gymnasium, looking for a caped hero, Justin Gaither, Daily’s Plant Manager asked Mrs. Diane James to come to the front of the gym and presented her with the Silent Hero Award, along with a matching cape!

Mrs. James

All the folks who travel the Blackfoot Highway will recognize this Superhero:  Every morning, rain or shine, sleet or snow, Mrs. James greets every passerby with a cheerful wave and heartwarming smile.  And of course her impact on the students she serves is even greater. Here is what several students had to say about what Mrs. James means to them:

  • Auctavia - “She helps people.”

  • Auguste  - “She’s good at solving problems.”

  • Cooper - “She’s good at helping kids.”

  • Hank - “Thank you for sitting next to me on the bus. It makes me happy.”

  • Avianna - “She’s really nice and I see her every morning.”

  • Blakely- “She’s good at everything.”

  • Dempsey - “She’s sweet and never yells.”

  • Hudson- “She’s really kind.”

  • Arianna- “She’s really good at helping me draw.”

  • Aspen- “She’s good at taking care of everyone”

  • Vada- “She always takes care of people when they get hurt.”

  • Quintin- “She’s very patient."

  • Vada- “I like her hair, and I like her style.”

We are grateful to Mrs. James for her selfless service to Bonner School, and we are so extremely proud to have her bright spirit representing Bonner School each and every day.
