Each and every day at Bonner School, kids have opportunities to earn GRIT cards. Any staff member can give kids GRIT cards when they notice an extraordinary behavior. When kids earn a card, they bring it to the front office or the GRIT room and exchange it for a stamp. The cards are then collected and displayed on a bulletin board in our main hallway. As kids walk by, they see their names on the board and are reminded how important it is to show GRIT and make positive choices every day. At the end of each quarter, all of the GRIT cards come down, get mixed up and there is a drawing! One student from each class is chosen to pick a prize. This is just one way we celebrate the success of our students here at Bonner School, reinforcing the idea that Growth, Respect, Integrity, and Thoughtfulness are core values at our school and in life. We hope that GRIT helps guide our students both in and out of the classroom.
