Lumberjacks of the Quarter hold the BIG check!

Bonner School GRIT Initiative was awarded a $1000 grant from Missoula Recycling Works this Friday. Mrs. Cunningham applied on behalf of the GRIT Comittee, for Bonner School and is thrilled to have these funds available to support our school-wide GRIT program.

For those of you new to Bonner School, or if you need a refresher, the GRIT Program has had a meaningful impact on our school culture by motivating students to demonstrate positive behaviors and take pride in their growth—both academically and socially.

Through this school wide GRIT Iniative we have been able to  consistently recognize students’ efforts and foster a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel encouraged to do their best. We truly believe this program helps build lifelong skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

With funds, we are able to do things like:

  • Purchase Lumberjack of the Quarter yard signs and student t-shirts to celebrate exemplary role models

  • Provide end-of-quarter GRIT prizes to reinforce positive behaviors

  • Supply GRIT cards used for ongoing recognition throughout the school day

  • Support GRIT-focused assemblies that promote motivation, character development, and school unity

Way to go Lumberjacks!
